The production environment of steel plants is complex, and equipment is often in harsh working conditions such as high temperature, heavy load, high dust, and high water vapor. Lubricating oil and grease ensure stable operation of equipment by reducing friction, anti-wear, cooling, sealing, and other functions. The following introduces the key parts that need lubrication and corresponding lubrication products based on the actual scenario of the steel plant:

    Smelting core equipment

  • Blast furnace top equipment: rotating mechanism (gears, bearings) for material chute, drum bearings for probe hoist.

  • Hot air stove valve: The sliding parts of the gate and valve seat of the hot air valve and backflow valve reduce wear and prevent adhesion.

   Converter/electric arc furnace

  •  Tilting mechanism: Converter tilting gearbox (large modulus gear), bearing seat, pin shaft and shaft sleeve parts are filled with extreme pressure lubricating grease.

  • Oxygen lance lifting system: steel wire rope and guide wheel bearings of oxygen lance winch.

   Steel rolling production line equipment

  •  Rolling mill body

  •  Roll bearing: a rolling bearing that supports the rolling mill

  •  Pressing device: worm gear reducer, lead screw and nut

Conveying and straightening equipment

  •  Roller conveyor line: roller bearings and roller chains for transporting steel billets

  •  Straightening machine: straightening roller bearings, universal joint cross shaft

Auxiliary power equipment

  • Motors and pumps

  • Motor bearings: High voltage motor bearings that drive rolling mills and fans

  • Water pump/oil pump: shaft seal and impeller bearing of circulating water pump; hydraulic pump

Lifting and transportation equipment

  • Crane/trolley: gearboxes and wheel bearings for the operating mechanisms of large and small vehicles; Bearings for hook pulley assembly

  • Ladle/iron tank transport vehicle: chassis steering knuckle, drive axle gearbox.

 Other key parts

  • Dust removal system: induced draft fan bearings, impeller shaft seals

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic components: hydraulic station, cylinder piston rod, solenoid valve core.

  • Chain and conveyor belt: Plate conveyor chain and roller conveyor chain for conveying steel billets

We supply high temperature grease, lithium complex grease, calcium sulfonate complex grease, moly grease and graphene grease, which are suitable for lubrication of different parts in milling factory.

Wind Turbine Grease vs Construction Equipment Grease: Selecting the Right Formula

December 09, 2025

In modern industrial operations, lubrication is not a secondary concern—it directly affects machinery reliability, operational efficiency, and maintenance costs. Two key segments where grease selection is critical are wind turbines and construction equipment. Although both types of machinery rely heavily on high-performance lubrication, their operational environments and mechanical demands differ significantly. Understanding these differences is essential for maintenance engineers, plant managers, and procurement teams seeking to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Food-Grade Grease vs Industrial-Grade Grease: Selecting the Right Option for Your Plant

December 09, 2025

In today’s competitive manufacturing landscape, lubrication is no longer a one-size-fits-all solution. The choice of grease in industrial operations significantly impacts equipment longevity, production efficiency, and overall operational safety. Among the myriad of lubricants available, Food-Grade Grease and Industrial-Grade Grease stand out as two primary categories widely used across industries. Understanding the differences between them, their applications, and selection criteria is essential for plant managers, maintenance engineers, and procurement teams seeking to optimize their machinery’s performance.
